Asian American Heritage Festival

Description: The 6th Annual Asian American Heritage Festival will take place on May 19 at Franklin Square. The event, sponsored by Comcast, the Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, the Mayor's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, and the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation will give guests the opportunity to enjoy cultural performances, art, merchandise, a Children's Fair, and tasty Asian American foods. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to win free prizes or receive free health screenings. Performers this year will include Holy Redeemer School Karate Team, Tai Chi Demonstration, Nataraja Performing Arts, and Philippine Folk Art Society! If that wasn't enough, sponsors of the festival will release the 1940 Census and help people explore personal stories regarding Asian American immigration.
