Access Legal Advice

Immigration law is one of the most complicated areas of legal services. A single detail or a special circumstance can have a huge impact on your case.

When you need a clear answer from a trusted source, contact the Welcoming Center. Our monthly legal clinics help immigrants and their families get reliable, ethical information about the immigration process and other aspects of the law. Expert attorneys generously donate their time as pro bono legal counsel for these clinics.

Appointments can be made to discuss legal issues related to every aspect of immigration as well as family law, landlord/tenant issues, consumer issues, personal injury and more. One of our volunteer attorneys will provide a free one-time 20-minute consultation to address your specific case. Consultations are available in numerous languages and an interpreter can be provided if necessary.

The Welcoming Center legal clinics are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from 3-6 p.m. Make an appointment by contacting: Desirée Welborn Wayne at 215-557-2626

You must make an appointment in advance to attend the legal clinic.

If you are a service provider or know of someone who can benefit from our legal clinic, please post or share our flyer (available in English, Albanian, Arabic, Chinese, French, Indonesian, Italian, Khmer, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, Vietnamese).

Please note: The Welcoming Center does not provide legal representation. Our volunteer attorneys can only offer advice. If you need a lawyer to represent you, we recommend that you contact a nonprofit agency that has been officially recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals.

The Department of Justice publishes a list of not-for-profits and attorneys that provide free and low-cost immigration legal services.
