Want to know what a Pathways to Success seminar includes? These free evening events help work-authorized immigrants who were educated outside the U.S. to understand the path to a professional career in this country.
The agenda includes presentations by experienced staff from the Welcoming Center, World Education Services (WES), and a local college or university. In addition, human resources staff from leading Philadelphia-area businesses share their perspectives on what makes for a successful job candidate.
Topics typically include:
- How to get international credentials or degrees evaluated
- When it makes sense to apply for occupational licensing
- Why to consider additional courses at an American university
- What to expect in a US professional job interview
- How to prepare yourself as a candidate for professional jobs
Who should attend? Immigrants who have:
- Legal work authorization
- A bachelor's or graduate degree in a medical or healthcare-related field, from a college or university outside the US
- An interest in building a successful American career
