Exchange Visitor Program
The Exchange Visitor Program is a way for young professionals to experience American society and explore U.S. business culture. It is also a personally rewarding experience that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
In 2017, the U.S. Department of State designated the Welcoming Center a sponsor organization for Exchange Visitor Trainees. We are one of less than 100 such organizations nationwide.
Since 2014, our Global Access Soft Landing Program has hosted 27 companies and supervised over 20 Exchange Visitors. We have also partnered with other organizations and incubators as these companies have reached their next stage of development.
The Welcoming Center sponsors Exchange Visitor Trainees in the following categories:
1. Management, Business, Commerce, and Finance
2. Public Administration and Law
3. Information Media and Communication
The Welcoming Center will work with you throughout the application process to ensure you identify the best host for your intended training program. We will also support you throughout your training program.
To see if you are eligible to become an Exchange Visitor, please consult the eligibility criteria on the State Department web site.
If you are eligible to become J-1 Trainee and would like to apply, please fill out this application form and our staff will get back to you.
