This March marks our 18th birthday. While 18 was a long time ago for me, one thing I clearly remember is the awareness of being on the threshold of an important next phase.
That’s why last year we embarked on an exploration of our brand — with a specific focus on our name and logo — to ensure it reflects who we are, what we stand for, and our ambitions ahead. Our highly collaborative approach was guided throughout by a diverse set of stakeholders: our participants, our community partners both nonprofit and corporate, our longtime supporters, and of course our visionary founder, Anne O’Callaghan.
The result is a simplified name that focuses on the core of our vision and values. Moving forward, we are simply The Welcoming Center. Our new logo emphasizes the same spirit of welcoming: multiple points converging in one place, encircled by an inclusive embrace:
We may look different but our mission remains the same: we promote inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration.
Thanks to all of you who have joined us in making our community and our country more welcoming these past 18 years. We are looking forward to the next 18 years with your support.
