Neighborhood Tax Assistance Program

Do you support immigrants and want to invest in the Philadelphia region’s future?
You can achieve both while reducing your tax liability!
The Welcoming Center, dedicated to supporting immigrants on pathways towards upward economic mobility and out of poverty, is looking for new NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) partners. This initiative through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, allows Pennsylvania companies to contribute to our cause and receive a nearly dollar-for-dollar tax credit of 90% against their Pennsylvania tax liability.
Eligible categories for this tax credit include:
- Personal Income Tax (including LLC and Sole Proprietorship liability)
- Corporate Net Income Tax
- Capital Stock-Foreign Franchise Tax
- Bank Shares Tax
The commitment is only for one year and the contribution can be made anytime between July 1, 2025 and June 30th, 2026. There is no minimum required contribution to participate. It is also not required for the business to be based in Pennsylvania. It must simply be a business eligible to operate in Pennsylvania. For example, if a Delaware company conducts business in Pennsylvania and incurs liability, it would be eligible.
