Business Planning Course
The business planning course is a 12-week class offered twice a year. Courses are available in person and virtually. Currently, courses are provided in English, Spanish, Dari, Ukrainian.
Participants in the course will learn accounting, finance, budgeting, cash management, customer service, marketing, and operations. You will also be eligible for personalized, one-on-one advising to help identify and develop your business skills. Our staff is excited to help you research, write, and confidently articulate a sound business plan!
Registration for the upcoming cohort is closed, however, you can still apply for the course to join our waitlist.
Requirements to Join:
- Intend to or already conduct business in Philadelphia
- You must be an immigrant entrepreneur or an entrepreneur apart of an underserved community
Course Requirements:
- Dedicate 4 hours to the course per week (2 hours for the class, 1 hour for independent classwork, and 30 minutes to meet with a business advisor)
- All 12 classes must be attended. Six of them must be attended IN-PERSON at our Center City Offices (211 N 13th Street)
- Write a business plan by the end of the course
Opportunities:
- Participants that write viable business plans are eligible to be connected with lenders to access capital for their businesses
- Participants can receive ongoing business advising after successful completion of the business planning course.
