Work Readiness

Work Readiness at The Welcoming Center

The Welcoming Center’s work readiness programs are a vital part of how we support immigrants and refugees in building meaningful, sustainable careers in the U.S. Our programs are designed to meet people where they are. Each initiative helps participants tap into the education, experience, and talents they already possess and provides the tools and guidance needed to navigate the U.S. job market with confidence. Whether it’s understanding how to transfer international credentials, strengthening digital and communication skills, or learning how to interview and apply for jobs in new sectors, we support people in taking the next step forward.

Together, these programs reflect our deep belief in the potential of immigrant talent to strengthen our communities and local economy. Many of our participants arrive in the U.S. with professional experience and determination but face systemic barriers to employment. Our programs focus on:

The result is not only personal success stories but also a more inclusive and equitable workforce for all.
